29 Tips To Achieve Optimal Health

Watch your digestion:

  1. Avoid Wheat – it aggravates your stomach
  2. Avoid Dairy – it’s acidic
  3. Eat slowly and chew your food – breakdown of food is essential
  4. Alkalize your body – take lime juice in water and consume alkaline rich foods
  5. Eat plenty of fibre – it helps digest and keep food moving along
  6. Drink plenty of filtered water – it’s a great cleanser

Manage your sugars (insulin):

  1. Eat low carb and low GI – to avoid sugar highs and lows
  2. Eat good fats and oils – this slows the absorption of carbohydrates down
  3. Eat full fat options now and then – low fat can be cancerous e.g. margarines
  4. Lift weights regularly – it makes your muscles more insulin sensitive
  5. Avoid fruit and juices  – they make you fat as they are packed full of sugars
  6. Eat little and often – it helps you burn more fat by keeping your metabolism raised
  7. Eat organic meat

Manage your stress (cortisol):

  1. Always eat breakfast – preferably within 30 mins of rising
  2. Don’t diet or miss meals  – it stresses the body and messes up your metabolism
  3. Take time out to rest every day – to give your entire body a break
  4. Avoid alcohol – it will make you fat and is full of sugars
  5. Go to bed early and preferably before 11pm
  6. Reduce stimulants  – they cause highs and lows e.g. coffee, sugar, alcohol
  7. Avoid processed foods – if it’s in a packet BEWARE !

Get rid of toxins (oestrogens):

  1. Avoid the microwave

  4. Avoid fluoride – It reduces your metabolism
  5. Don’t cook or heat food in plastics – it leaks into your food

  7. Preferably use natural cosmetics – as toxins can be absorbed through the skin
  8. Eat cruciferous vegetables – they are great at eliminating toxins e.g. kale, broccoli, cabbage

This is a pretty comprehensive list and I know it may seem daunting but pick a couple and just start slowly. Master that habit and then move on. You’ve only got one body, so look after it.
